Lisa DeMarco is a Director at American Real Estate Capital (AREC), responsible for loan originations.
Lisa DeMarco has over 9 years of commercial real estate experience. Lisa began her commercial real estate career as an analyst intern for JOSS Realty Partners and PBS Real Estate in New York City, a real estate investment management and commercial brokerage firm. She focused on office acquisitions ranging from $10 million to $100 million, prepared offering memoranda for private equity investors, and provided asset management support for JOSS' portfolio.
From 2007 through 2011, Lisa worked as a senior associate in the CMBS Due Diligence and Valuation Practice at Duff & Phelps in New York City. There, she underwrote more than $6 billion in CMBS loans encompassing various collateral types including retail, office, industrial, multifamily and hotels. Additionally, Lisa provided commercial real estate appraisals and quarterly portfolio valuations on behalf of major hedge funds and private equity firms.
Prior to joining AREC, Lisa was a vice president at SL Capital, an exclusive correspondent of Cantor Fitzgerald Commercial Real Estate (CCRE), underwriting and originating CMBS loans. Additionally, Lisa underwrote multifamily acquisition opportunities for SL Capital’s affiliate, LYND Company, with a focus on non-performing notes and value-add assets.
Lisa holds a M.S. in Real Estate Finance from New York University and a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from Boston University.
